Foundation Course
Foundation Studies provides a structured programme that is designed to help students achieve entry into their Art or Design degree courses.
BA (Hons) Fine Art Painting
We encourage students to develop their own visual language, be it figurative, abstract or conceptual and to explore critical context, both historic and contemporary.
BA (Hons) Fine Art Sculpture
The programme aims to equip students with the technical and critical skills relevant to contemporary sculptural practice, and with an understanding of both historic and contemporary context.
MA Fine Art
Committed to the ‘discrete’ objects of painting, sculpture, drawing and printmaking, the main objective of the course is to identify, develop and refine individual practice.
Post Graduate Diploma Painting
The Post Graduate Diploma option is offered in two modes - two years part time or one year full time. It is often used as a bridge between BA and MA study and can, if space allows, incorporate elements of the BA project base.
Post Graduate Diploma Sculpture
The Post Graduate Diploma is offered in two modes - one year full time, and two years part time; both can incorporate elements of the projects that take place on the BA sculpture programme.
Diploma in Architectural Stone Carving
This three year course develops from simple masonry to the creation of complex architectural ornament. It involves letter cutting, relief carving and the study and carving of the figure.
Diploma in Ornamental Wood Carving & Gilding
This three year course develops from the carving of simple classical molding to the creation of complex architectural ornament. It involves gilding, letter cutting, relief carving and the study and carving of the figure.
Post Graduate Diploma Stone/Wood Carving
The Postgraduate Diploma in Stone Carving is a one or two year course depending on the applicants previous experience and the subject of their first degree.
BA(Hons) Conservation Studies
The Conservation Studies course is a three-year, full-time course leading to a BA (Hons) degree in the conservation and restoration of objects made of wood, stone and other sculptural materials.
Post Graduate Diploma in Conservation
We offer a two year programme in the study of Conservation, designed to reflect the experience and aspiration of the individual.
Post Graduate Diploma in Comparative Studies of Conservation
This programme is conceived to explore an increased interaction between traditional techniques of surface cleaning and the possibilities afforded by new technologies.
