The Conservation Department offers a unique combination of traditional craft skills and state of the art scientific analysis for training in the conservation and restoration of three dimensional works of art and artifacts.
We believe that a knowledge of art-history and the articulation of its ideas and critiques enriches all studio study, and that the acquisition of skill in written and spoken language is important for every student.
The School sees drawing as fundamental to the visual arts. The Drawing Studio focuses on the role that observational drawing plays in stimulating and facilitating the development of artists and craftsmen.
