- 24th February 2012School Commissioned to Produce Gilded Sculpture for the Prow of The Royal Barge at The Thames Diamond Jubilee PageantThe sculpture was designed by Alan Lamb, head of Historic Carving. It is being modelled by a small team of staff and students from the School.

- 16th April 2009The Angel of Westminster - A collaboration between City & Guilds of London Art School and the House of LordsA few years ago, the Curator’s Office at the Houses of Parliament approached City & Guilds of London Art
School’s Conservation and Historic Carving Departments with a proposal to conserve and restore the figure
of an angel, once part of the sculptural decoration of Victoria Tower, as a student project. The result has been
an exciting challenge for both students and tutors alike and this exhibition showcases the work undertaken by
those who have been involved in this unique project.
