Alexandra (Sasa) Kosinova is an ICON accredited sculpture and wallpaintings conservator with 30 years of experience.
She trained at City and Guilds of London Art School and at ICCROM in Rome.
She worked as a sculpture conservator in Victoria and Albert Museum from 1992-2002.
Sasa now has a private practice based in London. She specializes in polychrome finishes on various substrates; the artworks range from ancient to contemporary. Her other specialization is paint analysis using polarised light microscopy.
Sasa’s site projects include working in Egypt and Sudan for Czech and American expeditions. She also works as an assistant conservator for other accredited conservators on large in-situ projects, mainly wallpaintings.
Additionally Sasa is a sculpture conservator for the Tate Gallery in London. She carries out practical conservation, participates in installation and packing of exhibitions, acts as a courier and is involved with displays both in Tate Britain and Tate Modern.
