Magdalena Wisniowska



Magdalena Wisniowska is an artist and writer interested in contemporary art and theory, philosophy and aesthetics. She is currently researching the aesthetic notion of image as presented in the work of Sartre, Adorno and Deleuze.

 Magdalena Wisniowska (b. 1980) studied Fine Art and History of Art at Goldsmiths College, University of London (1998-2002) and Fine Art at the Royal Academy Schools (2002-2005). She has worked with various artists, including Jane Harris, Sol Le Witt, Lucy Gunning and Michael Kidner. In September 2005 she returned to Goldsmiths to start a PhD in Art History and Philosophy at the Department of Visual Cultures. Since graduating from the Royal Academy she has also maintained a studio practice, exhibiting regularly both in London and abroad. Recently, she has been a coordinator of Inc – Research Group in Continental Philosophy, based at the Graduate School, Goldsmiths, University of London.
