Tim Ritson



Tim Ritson is a Post Graduate Conservation student who possesses considerable experience working with and caring for objects of cultural significance. Commencing his professional career at The Queensland Art Gallery (2000-2006), Tim has worked in various capacities including Gallery Services, Art Installation, Registration and Gallery Operations. While at the Gallery, Tim pursued his academic interests in museology and completed a Post Graduate Degree in Museum Studies and an internship with the Conservation Department.
On completion of his degree, Tim relocated to London where he secured a position at Sotheby’s. In this position he managed a large team of Technicians in the coordination and delivery of over 150 exhibitions annually, both in the UK and internationally.
Building on his experience Tim endeavours to become a highly skilled practicing art conservator. He is currently undertaking a placement at Plouden and Smith a leading authority on art conservation and restoration
