My work is inspired by my passion for dance, photography and my home
country, Iceland. For me painting is like a physical act, almost like a
performance. I work very quickly and make decisions intuitively as I go
along. The sensuality of dancing becomes visible in the painting and the
forms seem to move around, creating an airy feeling, as well as suggesting
the awe-inspiring wilderness of Iceland. They have a photographic quality
about them, the surface being very flat and somewhat out of focus.
