Our identity is built on our history; those half-remembered events and places form the warp and weft which shape our lives. We look back at our past to give meaning to our present, we carry it with us as a badge of our existence.
Drawing inspiration from found information and photographs and using different techniques I create bodies of work which express a sense of anguish and suffering, of lost hopes and dreams, making the images rise to the surface like ghosts or photographic prints slowly appearing out of the developing solution.
Each body of work aims to recreate both the pain and the value of life. I am re-imagining the past, personalising the engagement and trying to form a connection with the audience.
