Kate Britton

My work looks at the interface between the organic and the inorganic, the natural and the constructed, the relevance of space both positive and negative, the object viewed and the viewer. Exploring the senses in combination with the materials used is an intimate process. Ultimately creating an unconventional way in the search for an image that is viewed beyond the surface in feeling and dialogue. The use of traditional materials mixed with everyday objects and alternative approaches combined with emotion gives my work its energy.
