The Art School is seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant who will work closely with the Head of Finance and provide support in all aspects of managing the Art School’s day-to-day finance function. The post holder will be responsible for data entry and updating financial records, invoice processing, financial administration along with assisting with the production of financial information for reporting purposes and deputising for key administrative functions during busy periods, absence and annual leave.

Applicants should have sound accounting and bookkeeping knowledge and at least two years of experience in a comparable role. You will have excellent interpersonal & communication skills, and strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain attention to detail and to handle a varied workload as part of a team where your input is valued and makes a difference.  Experience of using Microsoft Excel, Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll is essential.

This post is part-time (0.4 – 0.6 FTE) and permanent (subject to a 6 month probationary period).  The appointment will be made according to qualification and experience on the salary range £24,500 £27,500 per annum pro-rata. Benefits include 30 days paid annual leave and a defined contributions pension scheme.
