COURSE OVERVIEW
Using close-ups and fragments of William Morris designs, this course will instruct you in the art of carving natural shapes and animal motifs onto slate in low relief. Open to all skill levels, participants will be guided through the fundamentals of historic relief carving and tool use. You will be able to complete your very own low relief carving through the course, and will have ample opportunities to experiment and discover the joys of stone carving.
What is included: All teaching, tools and materials, dust masks and safety glasses.
What is not included: Aprons/protective clothing, so please wear suitable clothing and footwear i.e., closed toe shoes.
