The MA Fine Art course at City & Guilds of London Art School focuses on a deep exploration of your own practice and its research territories and critical frameworks. Whether you are continuing after recently graduating in Fine Art or returning to study after some years as a practising artist (or from working in another related field), our aim is to help you to move beyond your current position, to exceed your expectations. We don’t believe in a ‘house style’; this is an Art School where your ambitions will be interrogated and supported and the end of year MA exhibition consistently demonstrates the distance our students have travelled through engagement in this intensive course.

COVID-19

During the Covid-19 pandemic, we are strictly adhering to the Government’s safety guidance and going a little bit further, with extensive measures in place to enable social distancing and safety procedures to be carried out effectively. At the same time, we have worked hard to ensure our students have as much access to our facilities as possible and we continue to prioritise studio practice, one-to-ones and small group tutorials, which are so integral to our approach.

Despite the ongoing global upheaval in education institutions as a result of the pandemic, the Art School has remained dedicated to upholding the needs of its students, ensuring we are still creatively  supported and accommodating our growth as much as possible. Not only are the tutors closely connected to the students in normal times, but even during the pandemic, they ensure that we are creatively guided, closely listened to and helped throughout this period, maintaining as much normality as they can.” Filippa Seilern Aspang, MA Fine Art.

This one-year full time or two-year part time course is validated by Ravensbourne University London. Regular checks by the Quality Assurance Agency have confirmed the standard of our provision. Our high standards and results, have been consistent, and have been regularly affirmed by our External Examiners.
