Benjamin Cohen is an artist living and working in London and Athens, Greece.

He studied Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design (2005-6), Loughborough University School of Art and Design (2006-9) and Central Saint Martins (2012-14).

Recent exhibitions include New Relics (2018) at Thames Side Studios, London;  Thoughts of Terminal Refreshment and Promise of Palm Trees (2015) at Breese Little Gallery, London. As part of Athens Biennale 2016, he participated in Space Revolution: an arts-educational lecture that investigated emerging artist-run spaces in Greece.

Through experimentation with expanded notions of painting, sculpture, film and time-based media, and collaborative projects involving an array of different materials and processes, Benjamin Cohen’s practice investigates the relationship between, and the possibilities of, image-making, ‘the screen’ and display, as well as issues of exchange and temporality in contemporary life.

Recent practice-led research projects include Screen in Landscape I: Harestua – Varingskollen (Norway, 2014); Still I’d Like to Try it One More Time (Serbia, 2014); The March That No One Saw (UK, 2015) and 40 Years (worldwide, 2015 – 2055).

Benjamin Cohen collaborates with A-DASH: an artist-led initiative based in Athens (Greece) combining studios, a project space, exhibition space and residency program, with an emphasis on experimentation, collaboration and inter-disciplinary exchange.
