Christopher Roantree trained at the Royal College of Art and is an award winning, multi disciplinary, London based artist practicing in traditional etching and developing the intaglio print tradition. Christopher has undergone residencies in Paris and the Belizean Jungle, travelling extensively as part of his practice which is now primarily collaborative.

The duo at Roantree x Kummattummal focuses on the junctions of their own cultural histories and understanding through the printing plate and the publication of editons. The work draws heavily on landscape as a playground to tackle themes of environmental discord and multi dimensional storytelling through cultural relationships. The duo are planning residency’s in Iceland and Patagonia for a future series of work and to expand on the recent solo show in London Brink & the Fold. Christopher is represented by Eames Fine Art. Previously Christopher taught as a senior lecturer at UoL in visual communication for over 15 years and continues to output commercially in areas of picture books for children, with two books planned for the market in the coming 2 years.
