The Art School is to participate in the Clyde & Co Art Award: seven graduates have been selected for the 2015/15 edition.

The City & Guilds of London Art School was invited to participate in the 2015/16 Clyde & Co. Art Award. Seven of our students were selected for the award, amongst Fine Artists and Carvers.

The Clyde & Co Art Award is designed to support artist in the challenging passage from graduation to a professional career, providing each graduate selected for the award with a range of benefits including pro bono legal support and mentorship. Clyde & Co. work with the following Art Schools: City & Guilds of London Art School, Central Saint Martins, Camberwell College of Arts, Chelsea College of Arts and Wimbledon College of Arts.

The selecting panel visited our Degree Show in June, and invited the following graduates to take part in the award: Steven John Atkinson and Oliver Dorman from our Historic Carving Diplomas in Stone and Wood Carving; Anne-Marie Hanlon, Kim Harvey, Maria Macc, Alice McVicker, Tuesday Riddell from our BA Fine Art course.

Their works are now exhibited in the Clyde & Co offices, and available on sale through a silent auction. The winners of this years’ prizes will be announced at an Awards evening in March 2016.
