We are delighted to announce that 2016 Fine Art BA (Hons) graduate Amanda Moström has been awarded the first City & Guilds of London Art School Studio Award, a year-long residency at Acme studios in Warton House, Stratford. The award will provide Amanda with a rent free studio space, professional mentoring, a £7000 award and an opportunity to exhibit her work as part of a group show. We are excited to see how Amanda’s work develops over the year and look forward to a studio visit in the Spring term…

This year we are also launching a new fellowship scheme in collaboration with the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers. The Decorative Surface Fellowship for 2016/17 has been awarded to Amelia Crowley Roth. Amelia completed her PG Diploma in Ornamental Woodcarving and Gilding in 2015 following her BA (Hons) Fine Art Degree with us in 2013. The Fellowship focuses on historic techniques such as gilding, fresco painting, trompe l’oeil and scagliola and provides specialist training in traditional processes, professional mentoring from the Painters-Stainers and a work base at the City & Guilds of London Art School. We look forward to working with Amelia throughout the year and to her contribution to our MA and Fellows exhibition in September 2017.
