The Post Graduate Diploma option is offered in two modes, two years part time or one year full time. The study programme is not fixed in any particular form but, rather, negotiated between the applicant and the department to suit individual need. It is often used as a bridge between BA and MA study and can, if space allows, incorporate elements of the BA programme base.

Students are encouraged to pursue self-dertermined forms of practice in a context of sympathetic but serious discourse. There is no written component, but the character of tutorial exchange can be inflected towards a more or less critical/analytic approach.
