Head of Painting Robin Mason Participates in Strange Days & Some Flowers

Strange Days & Some Flowers will also show work by Don Brown, Mika Rottenberg, Matthew Houlding, Laura Ford, Dan Baldwin, John Stark, Jack Mooney and a new commission by Graham Hudson.

The exhibition will be a purposeful jumble of utopian propaganda, religious multiplicity and enigmatic beautiful characters. The funny, the disturbing and the out right bizarre reflecting the complexity of our world, simultaneously unsettling and humorous, terrifying, strange and amusing.

This exhibition re-launches the recently refurbished Storey Gallery in Lancaster and will run from 13 July to 3 October 2009. The Gallery has received funding support from Lancaster City Council, Lancashire County Council, the Arts Council of England and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation (www.storeygallery.org.uk).
