Outreach 'Start Imagining' Launch
Fine Art tutor Jane Langley, supported by some of the School's current Fine Art students, is one of the organisers of 'Start Imagining'
'Start Imagining' is a new programme for primary and secondary schools designed to stimulate young people to create arts and crafts from scrap or reclaimed materials, thus encouraging everyone to become more creative at school, in youth centres, libraries and at home. The programme was kick-started on 30 January 2012 through the national competition 'From Tip to Ship'. 'From Tip to Ship' asks children to create a model boat inspired by the Diamond Jubilee Pageant. The winning creations (and five runner-up entries) will form part of a special exhibition which will be displayed at the Discover Greenwich Centre at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich throughout June 2012.
