Jennifer Dinsmore has worked in conservation for 30 years. She has an MSc in object conservation from the Winterthur Museum/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation and also spent three years as a trainee in the Sculpture Conservation section at the V&A. She joined the Stone Conservation section of the British Museum in 1985 where she worked on a wide variety of stone objects, wall paintings and mosaics. In 1993 she became a tutor on the Conservation Studies course at the City and Guilds of London Art School and was also course organiser for the Architectural Stone Carving course. From 1996-99 she ran the Conservation Studies course and was involved in obtaining BA (hons) validation for the course. Jennifer now works as a conservation and collection care consultant with Halahan Associates. She also teaches stone conservation at City & Guilds. She has published on stone conservation, collections care and was a contributor to The Dictionary of Materials and Techniques in Decorative Arts.
