A utopian state is perhaps the ideal resolution for our continuous fascination with perfection. The figurine itself, taken from a corporeal origin is anthropomorphous in nature and becomes a reduction into a polarity of pleasing characteristics. Implicitly simplified and without irony, it is this iherent sentimentality that signifies the figurine as a utopian ideal. Items are now placed in environments where they do not belong, engendering a tenable scene. This combination of two differing utopian scenarios (the object and the environment) becomes a juxtaposition of two aspirations of perfection.
