We are thrilled to share that BA (Hons) Carving: Woodcarving & Gilding graduate and current Graduate Diploma Arts: Mosaics student Alec Stevens has been selected for the Ingram Prize 2026.

Alec’s work ‘Cornucopia / Pornucopia’, is a tabletop sculpture that changes according to its owner’s desires. Drawing on the historic cornucopia at Sir John Soane’s Museum and the interchangeable narrative carvings at Two Temple Place, it reimagines ornamental symbolism as fluid and adaptable rather than fixed. Traditionally representing abundance, the cornucopia is transformed through interchangeable arrangements that shift between innocent and erotic readings, using fruit as a coded language of desire, humour, and provocation.

The Ingram Prize 2026 is open 5th to 10th November at Unit1 Gallery Workshop, London. Admission is free.
