The City & Guilds of London Art School has a long established partnership with the School of Art at Birmingham City University. The University awards our BA (Hons) and MA Fine Art qualifications as well as our BA (Hons) Conservation Studies and has been working with the Art School for over 20 years.

Founded in 1885, as the UK’s first public art school, BCU’s School of Art is committed to critical and creative practices in art, education and research, an emphasis also championed by the City & Guilds of London Art School. The BCU’s School of Art is located in the heart of the Museum Quarter in Birmingham.

The City & Guilds Institute accredit our Historic Carving courses: students benefit from the excellent standard and high reputation of the Art School along with the strong vocational reputation that C&GI accreditation brings to their qualification.

The City & Guilds Institute is now the leading skills development organisation, providing services to training providers, employers, and trainees across a variety of sectors to meet the needs of todays workplace. C&GIs qualifications are valued by employers across the world, helping individuals develop their talents and abilities for career progression.

City & Guilds of London Art School is an approved centre for the UAL Awarding Body, Level 4, Foundation Diploma in Art & Design

The UAL Awarding Body has been approved by Ofqual, the independent body that regulates qualifications in England, to award qualifications to 14-19 year olds and adults. All of the qualifications are accredited to the Qualifications & Credit Framework (QCF).

Owned by and based within University of the Arts London, UAL Awarding Body is the only specialist art, design and creative industries awarding organisation in England. They work collaboratively with centres, employers and others to ensure the development of the best possible specialist qualifications.
