Our purpose-built stone carving studios are set alongside a garden featuring plants found in ornamental carving. This offers first-hand reference and source material as well as an unusual context given the Art School’s central London location.
The wood and stone carving studios also offer each student an individual work base and support a thriving community of specialist carvers. Historic Carving students have access to a wide range of other facilities including the print room, the wood workshop, the foundry, forge and metal workshop, glass workshop, ceramics kiln, and a well stocked library and computer room.
